Testimonials

My name is Sue Henderson i have been a member of Nuffield health club for over 3 years, I train hard to maintain a high level of fitness, unfortunately this level of activity results in sports injuries from time to time. I have known Matt Day since I joined the gym, during that time I have used his advice and skills in order to overcome specific sports injuries and for general reviving massages, he has always been extremely helpful and professional and I have benefitted enormously from these treatments and have no hesitation in recommending him.

Sue Henderson - Triathlete and Cyclist

I am a Group Fitness, Martial Arts and Gym instructor and Matt has treated me a few times over the last 12 months for injuries I have sustained while teaching and general maintenance to help keep my muscles working as they should. Every time his diagnoses, treatment and recommendations for aftercare have been perfect to the symptoms of the injury, and every time I have come back 100% to my normal fitness. Matt's professionalism and body knowledge is exceptional and I highly recommend his services.

Steve Breakwell- Qualified Gym, Group Fitness and Taekwondo Martial Arts instructor

I have used Matt Day several times for sports massage. He has a very professional and technical approach to all of his sessions. As a body builder Matts sessions can prove invaluable for the relief of muscle tension.

Just a few lines to let you know that my ruptured Achilles Tendon is now beginning to feel much stronger and a good deal more flexible. Thank you for treating me and also your interest in getting me going again. I was starting to despair that it would never be much good, but thanks to you I am now playing racketball again.

Robin Yeomans

Hello, my name is Heidi, I'm 33 years old and took up running in 2000. I'm not a natural born runner and I don't have the physique or talent of Paula Radcliffe. However this hasn't stopped me gradually building up my distance running; culminating in the Flora London Marathon in 2008.

I started training for the FLM after completing the Great North Run in 2007. Building up the mileage took it's toll on my body, especially my legs. From advice from friends I decided to book a sports massage. I found Matt via my gym Nuffield Health Centre (formerly Cannons).

On our first appointment, Matt went through my medical history, general health & well being, range of movement & carried out an examination of my legs. After which we discussed the best course of treatment. This included Matt designing me a post run stretching programme. Matt said that this would help to relieve the lactic acid build up and help to reduce muscle soreness. Throughout my training I continued to have sports massage every couple weeks. During which I suffered from all different aches & pains from sore quads, painful knees to tight calf muscles. Each time Matt dutifully noted my ailments and set to work on releasing the knots and tightness in my muscles.

With Matt's help I managed to stay injury free for the 6 months leading up to the FLM. Without his help, support and advice I doubt very much that I would have been able to complete my training or the marathon.
